Vous intégrerez notre flux de travail moderne ("Docs-as-Code"). Vous rédigerez le contenu en équipe avec notre Conseiller Exécutif et Scientifique, tandis que notre équipe d'ingénierie se chargera de la maintenance de l'infrastructure de compilation (Sphinx) et du déploiement web. Vous pourrez ainsi vous concentrer sur la rédaction, la structure et la conformité.
Titulaire d'un diplôme supérieur en informatique ou génie électrique, vous disposez d'une expérience confirmée dans un rôle similaire, idéalement dans un contexte industriel ou technologique.

👉 Poste à temps plein (40h/semaine) à pourvoir dès que possible sur notre site situé 1300, rue St-Patrick, Montréal, QC (déménagement prévu à Brossard mi-2027)

Your Role
We are looking for a Technical Writer whose writing is as precise as our robots. Your main objective will be to produce clear, concise, and perfectly bilingual documentation for our international users, while ensuring compliance with rigorous industry standards.

You will be part of our modern workflow (“Docs-as-Code”). Y
You will draft the content as part of a team with our Executive and Scientific Advisor, while our engineering team will take care of maintaining the compilation infrastructure (Sphinx) and web deployment. This will allow you to focus on writing, structure, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical content creation: Write, review, and update user manuals, programming guides, and application notes for our robotic arms.
- Compliance and standards documentation: Collaborate with the certification team to integrate regulatory requirements (ISO 10218, CE, UL, etc.) into the documentation. You will ensure that safety warnings and compliance statements are accurate, up to date, and formulated according to standards.
- Writing (Sphinx): Write documentation in plain text format (reStructuredText, Markdown, LaTex) to feed our web interface.
- Collaboration via Git: Use Git on a daily basis to submit your texts, manage versions, and collaborate with developers (commit, push, pull requests).
- French/English translation: Ensure that content is translated and adapted perfectly. You are responsible for linguistic and terminological quality in both languages.
- Technical investigation: Collaborate with engineers (mechanical, software, electrical) to gather raw technical information and simplify it for the end user.
Your Profile
With a degree in computer science or electrical engineering, you have proven experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial or technological context.
Your skills:
- Fluent bilingualism in English/French: Excellent writing skills in both languages (spelling, grammar, syntax, and terminology). This is an essential requirement.
- Understanding of standards: Ability to read and interpret technical and safety standards in order to extract information relevant to the user.
- Familiarity with Git: Understanding of basic commands (clone, add, commit, push) and the principle of decentralized version control.
- Proficiency with lightweight markup: Experience with reStructuredText (reST) or Markdown.
- Technical mindset: Ability to understand concepts of robotics, electricity, or hardware and explain them simply.
Assets (Nice-to-have):
- Previous experience with the Sphinx documentation generator.
- Experience in the industrial automation or robotics sector.
- Basic knowledge of the command line (terminal).
